“The YTT training in Puerto Rico was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I had only done a few online yoga classes but Ira and the team had made it so friendly for all levels. The patience & grace that’s given, as well as the curiosity that is encouraged all throughout the training is so refreshing. I think what we learned on the mat was just a small percentage of it but the knowledge and wisdom that was given along with it made the experience that much more impactful. I not only came back knowing more about myself but with connections I’ll never be able to forget. I love the person I found myself to be after this training & I’m so grateful for Sacred Movement Academy for it”

— Lauren V

“I completed the 200-Hour YTT with The Sacred Movement Academy, and it was a truly transformative experience. Ira has created a unique space that honors yoga’s ancient traditions while offering a modern, inclusive approach. Her commitment to supporting BIPOC individuals and creating a space where they feel seen and understood is one of the core strengths of the program.

The training is not just about learning asanas; it’s a deep journey into mindfulness, personal growth, and collective healing. Ira’s ability to weave together physical practice, philosophical teachings, and conscious living fosters a sense of community and belonging. The Sacred Movement Academy feels like more than just a school—it’s a space where students can connect, grow, and heal together.

Ira’s teaching is both insightful and accessible, making complex ideas relatable and meaningful. She encourages us to explore yoga as a path to inner peace and balance, and her dedication to each student’s growth creates a nurturing, empowering environment. I’m grateful to have been part of such a special community that truly honors the depth of yoga while fostering inclusivity and collective healing.”
