IRAIMER RUIZ

Founder of the Sacred Movement and director at Stanton Street Yoga NYC, Iraimer (Ira) is a 500 E-RYT dance-movement artist, an Ayurveda consultant offering holistic lifestyle coach, and integrative somatic trauma healing practitioner using the modalities of Yoga and Neurodynamic Breathwork.

Rooted in these Vedic sciences, she uses psychology and somatic practices in a modern practical approach as a means to empower others in the process of rising above their current state of awareness, so that together we may connect to the internal source of wisdom and love within and succeed in the journey of overall well-being through natural living. She aims to guide individuals through sacred journeys that ignite their curiosity to rediscover themselves, and offers practices to both balance and integrate the body-mind with the soul’s purpose (dharma), empowering individuals to align the inner with outer environment which create harmonious and embodied living.

Based in the north east coast, and her home base - Puerto Rico - Iraimer leads culturally-immersive retreats, healing gatherings, teacher training and wellness consultations internationally.

After many years of Pranayama study, Ira had the most powerful “raw” experience of meeting herself through breathwork. She discovered the magic of the inward sober journey that not only heals, but allows one to explore the deeper layers of our subconscious. Under the guidance of Dhyana Masla & Danielle Birch, she completed Yoga Veda’s Breathwork facilitator training in 2016, and has been guiding people through profound inward journeys which open the heart, encourage the process of self-healing, and restore the inner-relationship with themselves.

Leading one on one, group sessions and private retreats she invites her clients to connect to their innate wisdom so that they can find the answers they are seeking in a sacred, supported and loving safe space.

From years of dancing and many injuries after, Ira began working with many bodywork healers in the hopes of restoring her body’s vitality and mobility. She then was introduced to Ayurveda’s Marma therapy which completely transformed her health, and her relationship with the body, as each session revealed the healing potential the body carries when one facilitates the processing and release of stagnant energies such as stress. After completing extensive Marma therapy and Vedic acupressure trainings under the guidance of Virabadra (Bud) Tansey in 2018, Ira began to expand her offerings by offering full-body treatments curated to each individual’s needs in order to restore their state of balance.

She now offers private retreats, combining all these healing modalities, and guides individuals designing Yoga and Ayurveda lifestyle coaching sessions that restore vitality and health.
