Flow and Restore: Slow Vinyasa into Restorative Yoga

  • Iraimer Ruiz - The Sacred Movement 196A Stanton Street New York, NY, 10002 United States (map)

Join Iraimer Ruiz, every Sunday, for a transformative 75-minute class designed to support your journey into the deeper stages of Vata season. As we transition into the cool, airy qualities of fall, it’s essential to cultivate balance and nourishment within our bodies and minds.

We’ll begin with a slow flow Vinyasa practice—a beautiful dance of breath and movement that ignites our inner light. This initial segment encourages a profound dialogue between your body and soul, inviting you to connect deeply with yourself as we flow through each pose. You’ll not only experience physical movement but also engage in a mindful exploration of the rhythm of life itself, fostering awareness and presence.

As we transition from the dynamic energy of Vinyasa, we will gradually shift into a restorative yoga practice. This segment allows for deep surrender and introspection, offering an opportunity to pause and fully embrace stillness. Here, you can let go of the day’s tensions and stresses, allowing yourself to be supported and nourished by the earth beneath you.

In this nurturing space, we’ll focus on grounding practices that help us embrace the qualities of Vata—lightness, movement, and creativity—while balancing any feelings of anxiety or restlessness that may arise during this seasonal shift. By the end of our practice, you’ll feel rejuvenated, centered, and prepared to fully embrace the beauty of fall.

Join us to honor this transitional time and cultivate a sense of ease and connection within yourself and with the changing world around you.
