"A Space to Breathe" is a place of nourishment and refuge for BIPOC & Comrades to be seen and heard by community, explore meditation and other self-reflective techniques, yogic teachings, and embodied practices.

This is a gathering to support the community of those who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC), and their comrades.

Space will be held for all that's present in our community. Our gatherings will offer guided meditation, yogic breathing techniques (Pranayama), other techniques of Breathwork, Dharma (truth / wisdom), check-in and discussion, and sung mantras (Kirtan) for us to come in touch with our internal environment and excavate what needs to be seen, processed and embodied.

Meetings are held utilizing the framework of Yogic principles & philosophy applied as an opportunity to find nourishment in community and the teachings of Bhakti. Special guests and teachers will be invited to share their offerings with the group.

My hope and intention is that we may come together in a loving community effort to alleviate suffering by practicing, studying Dharma, and LIVE Yoga together as well as openly discuss our experiences living and navigating oppressive and biased social structures.

Yogis, soul seekers, and people from all spiritual backgrounds are welcome. All who identify as BIPOC or are a comrade actively engaged in undoing whiteness or racial justice work are welcome.

A donation of $10 is greatly appreciated to help support our facilitators and associated sangha-related fees and is in NO WAY REQUIRED. If cost is the only reason standing in your way of joining, please directly reach out to yoga.sacredmovement@gmail.com .

Donations will be donated to the BLM and Black Trans Lives Matter movement / organizations.
